  • The College has a sports hall complex and gymnasium. This includes a fitness room, teaching rooms, and a fencing salle. There are indoor cricket nets and facilities for a range of sports including indoor tennis, netball, basketball, volleyball and badminton.
  • A 25 metre, competition, indoor swimming pool was opened in 2003. This has eight lanes and a hydraulic bottom which alters the depth from 0.8 to 3 metres making it equally ideal for squad training, water polo, sub aqua, canoeing or recreational swimming.
  • Indoor facilities also include 2 rackets courts, 5 squash courts and 6 fives courts.
Entry Requirement:

Entrance assessment- English, Mathematics, Verbal Reasoning Test; and Interview

Sixth Form Entry Requirement:
On a minimum of six GCSE’s at A*-B grades (or equivalent qualifi cations) and candidates are expected to achieve grades A or A* in subjects that they wish to study at A Level or IB. Candidates will need a minimum of a C Grade in both English and Mathematics.

The School

  • The college is built beside the Mound. This was used as the motte of a castle. No remains of the castle can be seen today. It is generally accepted that the Mound is actually of much more ancient construction and possibly a similar feature to Silbury Hill.
  • Marlborough is an academically selective school but we do not believe in selection upon academic criteria alone. The School's co-educational boarding nature offers wonderful opportunities to young people but also makes certain demands: readiness to live as a boarder within a tightknit community is key to prospects of success. The School also recognises the central value of Art, Drama, Music, Service and Sport and look to encourage enthusiasm for these fields. The School looks for pupils who are prepared to make the most of the opportunities on offer at Marlborough.
