    入學要求

    A bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or comparable institution in any discipline; or equivalent qualifications. 
    If the medium of instruction for the undergraduate study of the applicant was not English, then he/she should fulfil any one of the following English requirements: TOEFL score of at least 550 (paper-based) or 79 (Internet-based test); or IELTS score of at least 6.5 (academic); or new CET-6 of China score of at least 450.

     
    課程內容

    Aims
    The major objective of the programme is to incorporate management techniques into the technical aspects of environmental protection and effective maintenance of a healthy environment using an interdisciplinary approach. The programme will focus on sustainable management, environmental health and risk management. In addition to the conventional issues of environmental protection, the relationships among economics, regulation and policy, management techniques, health risk analysis, social and ethical value and environmental conservation will be explored in detail.

    Awards of the Programme
    There are two classifications for the degree awarded.

    (1)Master of Science in Environmental and Public Health Management
    Students are required to complete a total of 27 units within the programme, this includes the completion of 7 courses (total 21 units), a MSc Dissertation (6 units) and a satisfactory performance on the continuous assessments and written examinations. Students are required to earn a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50 to qualify for the MSc degree.

    (2)Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental and Public Health Management
    Students are eligible for the Postgraduate Diploma if they decide not to undertake a MSc Dissertation, but have met all the items listed above.

    Programme Duration
    The programme is to be offered on a part-time basis, normally spanning two years. Extension of the study period of up to 4 years is possible. In order to provide students with maximum flexibility in time management, a 12-month full-time program is also possible.

    Class Schedule
    Lectures will be conducted on weekday evenings 6:30pm to 9:30pm (one lesson per course a week).

    Medium of Insturction
    The medium of instruction is English. All teaching and learning materials are in English.

    Applicants such as higher diploma holders, but have substantial documented relevant work experience in environmental management (normally five years or above) may be considered.
